Before anyone works on your home, you should know they're licensed and insured. Here are our details, and how to check them yourself in a couple of minutes. We're a licensed plumbing and gasfitting business based in Matraville, looking after homes across the Eastern Suburbs and Botany Bay.

Certificates of Compliance
In NSW, most plumbing and gasfitting work must be done by a licensed plumber or gasfitter, and certain work needs a Certificate of Compliance lodged with NSW Fair Trading. When the job needs one, we lodge it and give you a copy. Keep it with your home's paperwork: insurers, buyers and Sydney Water may ask for it. For gas work, see our gas compliance certificate page.
How to check a plumber before you book
- Ask for their licence number and check it on the Service NSW licence check. Make sure it's current and covers plumbing (and gasfitting, for gas work).
- Check the name matches. The licence should be in the name of the business or person doing the work.
- Ask about insurance. A proper business carries public liability insurance and will tell you how much.
- Get the price before work starts. You should know what you're paying before anything is done, not find out on the invoice.
- Ask about the warranty. Find out how long workmanship is guaranteed and what it covers. Ours is a lifetime labour warranty.
- Read the reviews. Look at recent Google reviews from people in your area, not just the star rating.
- Ask for a Certificate of Compliance for any work that needs one.
