Stormwater plumbing in the southern Eastern Suburbs
Pits overflowing, water pooling against the house or the yard flooding every time it rains? We clear, repair and install stormwater drainage for homes in Matraville, Maroubra, Malabar, Pagewood, Eastgardens, Botany and Little Bay. We find the cause with a camera, give you clear options and a fixed price before any work starts, and do the work to the plumbing code.
Stormwater work we do
Blocked pits and downpipes
Leaves, sand and silt jetted out of pits, downpipes and underground lines so rain can get away again.
Broken and crushed pipes
Cracked, collapsed or root-damaged stormwater pipes found with a camera, then replaced or relined.
Kerb outlets
New and replacement kerb outlets so your stormwater discharges properly into the street gutter.
Yard and courtyard drainage
New pits, grated drains and pipework for low spots, paved areas and courtyards that hold water.
Stormwater in the sewer
Downpipes or pits wrongly connected to the sewer found and separated, as the rules require.
Rainwater tank connections
Tank inlets and overflows connected to your stormwater, and tanks plumbed to the house with the right backflow protection.
Recent stormwater job
Kerb outlet to stop flooding, Maroubra

The lower ground level of this Maroubra home kept flooding in heavy rain. We dug a trench from the existing stormwater pipe to the street, connected a new pipe, cored through the kerb to discharge into the gutter, and backfilled the nature strip.
How we fix stormwater problems
- Find the cause: we jet the line and put a camera through it to see blockages, breaks and where the water actually goes.
- Options and a fixed price: from a clean-out to a new pipe run, pit or kerb outlet. You choose.
- Do it properly: new drainage is laid to the right falls and sizes and discharges to your legal point of discharge.
- Clean up and certify: we restore the area and you get a Certificate of Compliance for the work.
Stormwater in southern Eastern Suburbs homes
Sandy soil across Maroubra, Malabar, Matraville and Botany washes into pits and pipes and slowly fills them. Many older homes still have clay or thin early PVC stormwater lines that roots get into or that crack under driveways. Decades of extensions and paving have sent more water into systems that were never sized for it, and sloping blocks in North Maroubra and flat, low-lying blocks near Botany Bay each bring their own drainage problems.

Common questions
Why is my stormwater pit overflowing?
Usually the pit or the pipe leaving it is blocked with sand, silt, leaves or roots, or the pipe is broken further down. Jetting and a camera inspection find the cause.
Can you install a new kerb outlet?
Yes. We run the pipe to the street and install the kerb outlet so your stormwater discharges into the gutter. Work in the footpath or road usually needs council approval.
Why does my yard flood when it rains?
Blocked or broken pipes, pits that are too small, or low spots with no drain. We find the cause and give you options to move water away from the house.
Is stormwater allowed to go into the sewer?
No. Stormwater must be kept separate from the sewer, and wrong connections need to be fixed.
