Licensed gas fitting in Sydney's eastern suburbs
Gas work is one job where you need a licensed professional, no exceptions. Our team are licensed plumbers and gasfitters, so we can connect your new cooktop, install a gas heater bayonet, fit or replace gas hot water and check for leaks, all to the relevant standards. We'll issue the compliance paperwork required for the work we do, and we'll tell you if something we find needs attention.

Signs of a gas problem
Don't ignore any of these. If you smell gas, turn off the gas at the meter, open doors and windows, avoid using switches or flames, and get out and call your gas distributor's faults line before calling a gasfitter.
- A rotten egg smell. Gas has an odour added so you can detect leaks. Any persistent smell needs checking.
- Yellow or lazy flames. Healthy gas burners usually burn blue. Yellow, orange or flickering flames can indicate a combustion problem.
- Soot or scorch marks. Black marks around an appliance or flue suggest it isn't burning properly.
- A hissing sound near pipes or appliances. This can indicate escaping gas and should be treated seriously.
- Your gas bill jumps for no reason. An unexplained increase can point to a leak somewhere in the system.
How a gas job works
We start with a free on-site look so we can see the meter, the existing pipework and where the new appliance or gas point is going. That lets us check the pipe is sized correctly for everything that will run off it, which matters a lot when you add a high-demand appliance like a continuous flow hot water system.
- Inspection and written quote.
- Installation of pipework, valves and appliance connections.
- Pressure and leak testing of the work.
- Commissioning the appliance and checking it burns correctly.
- Compliance documentation for the work completed.
Many households are also choosing to move away from gas. If that's you, we can disconnect gas appliances and install a heat pump hot water system in place of a gas tank.

Common questions
Can I install a gas cooktop myself?
No. In NSW, gas fitting must be done by a licensed gasfitter. Our team can connect it and provide the required paperwork.
Do I need a gas leak check?
If you smell gas, notice yellow flames or have older pipework, a leak check is a sensible step. We pressure test the system and track down the source.
Can you move or add a gas point?
Yes. We relocate and extend gas lines for new cooktops, heaters and hot water systems.
Will I get paperwork for the work?
Yes. Gas work in NSW needs compliance documentation, and we provide what's required for the work we complete.
Our gasfitters work across Maroubra, Pagewood and Hillsdale.
